I Was
Above everything else that could be said about me,
I was human.
Sometimes strong, with purpose and direction.
Sometimes small, lost, confused.
In the middle of it all,
I just wanted acceptance.
Complete acceptance to be whom I felt I was inside.
A spirit who wanted to dance, fly, sing, perform poetry, help others,
and explore the heart of the world.
